Hamburg Süd / Aliança Bunker Reform

Dear valued customer,

In consideration of increasing Bunker Prices reaching an all-time high over $700/ton in Rotterdam this year, Hamburg Süd has adjusted its global Bunker Formula.

In order to maintain the well established policy to share the Bunker Price Risk with our customers in a fair and transparent way, Hamburg Süd has increased the Bunker Base Level from $90/ton to $300/ton. That change leads in combination with other adjustments to significantly lower BAF levels. The Base Rate will be adjusted accordingly in order to ensure that the Base Rate is able to bear the increased Bunker Base Level.
