Piracy Risk Surcharge between Europe and India/Pakistan/Middle East

Due to increasing costs for insurance policies for vessels crossing the Gulf of Aden, Hamburg Süd will be forced to increase the Piracy Risk Surcharge effective April 2012.

The current rate level between Europe and India/Pakistan/Middle East v.v. cannot bear any such cost increase.

We therefore inform you that the Piracy Risk Surcharge will increase with effect from the following vessels to $40/TEU.

• TABEA 213E - for shipments from North Europe:
  ets Hamburg: 31/03/12
  ets. Tilbury: 02/04/12
  ets. Antwerp: 04/04/12

• RIO BRAVO 212E - for shipments from the Mediterranean
  ets Cagliari: 04/04/12
