United States & Canada to New Zealand - Mandatory Treatment Requirements for North America Export Cargo to Prevent the Importation of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs

(Morristown, N.J.)…The New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries (M.P.I.) is working through a consultation process covering the mandatory pre-shipment fumigation requirements against Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs over the 2020-2021 high risk season.

Until advised otherwise the requirements for the coming year will be in line with the requirements for the 2019-2020 high risk season.

These measures come into effect on September 1, 2020 (date of shipment from origin port).

We would encourage all of our clients moving ‘target high risk’ goods to familiarize themselves with the DAWR guidelines, and to ensure their suppliers comply with any offshore mandatory treatment conditions before the September 1st deadline.
