Update 1: Ship Incident with “Cap San Antonio” - SAEC1 Service

Dear Customer,

We refer to our previous communication with respect to vessel “Cap San Antonio”, which was involved in an allision with a ferry wharf, while departing from Santos, Brazil, on 20th June 2021.

We have now been granted the required permission from the terminal and port authorities in order to discharge all onboard cargo at Santos and proceed for repairs. The cargo operation will take place Friday 25th June 2021. We will keep you updated as soon as more information becomes available.

Ship Incident with “Cap San Antonio” - SAEC1 Service

Dear Customer,

We regret to inform you that our vessel “Cap San Antonio” was involved in an incident in Santos, Brazil this Sunday, June 20th, while departing the port complex on its way to Paranagua. Fortunately, nobody was injured on board or ashore.

The import cargo for Santos was already discharged while the export call in Santos is only done on the Northbound leg of the service. We are collaborating with the terminal and port authority to secure cargo delivery to our customers and facilitate repairs for the vessel to resume her onward sea passage as soon as possible.

At the moment, we are still investigating the necessary repairs including the approx. needed time. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this incident and will inform you about the vessel’s onward passage as soon as we gain more insights from the ship inspection.
