Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EIS) - Ex Lebanon and Syria to all Northern European destinations – DRY

Dear Valued Customer,

In order to optimize our equipment flow to provide constant stable service, Hamburg Süd is introducing an Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EIS) from Lebanon and Syria to all Northern-European destinations for All Dry cargo in order to meet the growing demand for empty containers.

The amount will be as follows, payment following freight:

EIS Syria Northern Europe All Dry Containers Per container EUR 500

The EIS will be effective for all DRY cargo loaded or received for shipment on vessels with ETD September 10th, 2021, based on pro forma date of departure and until further notice.
