Dear Valued Customer,
Hamburg Süd is pleased to announce an enhancement of its weekly North Europe – South Mediterranean Service. You can find our brochure here.
Hamburg Süd will now provide four out of five vessels and one vessel will be supplied by our VSA partner. All transit times remain largely unchanged compared to the current pro forma schedule.
On the Southbound voyage, the call at Algeciras will be replaced by a call at Tangiers and Marsaxlokk will be added to the port rotation. The first sailing with Malta will be the Monte Alegre 704s, and as from the Rio de la Plata 707s will Tangiers be included fully reflecting the new rotation.
In addition, on the Northbound voyage, Salerno will be called instead of Damietta. Damietta will continue to be served by Hamburg Süd’s North Europe – East Mediterranean Service. The changes on the Northbound voyage will become effective with Rio Blanco 701n which is the first vessel to call Salerno instead of Damietta.
With Tangiers added to the ports of call on the North Europe – South Mediterranean Service, the Inner Mediterranean Feeder Service will be ceased in February. Cargo in transhipment from South America East Coast for on-carriage to Mediterranean ports will be connected with the North Europe – South Mediterranean Service instead of the Inner Mediterranean Feeder Service.
We would like to take the opportunity and thank you for your continuous support of our services. Should you require more information, please contact your local Hamburg Süd office.
