United States East & Gulf Coasts to Argentina, Aruba, Bonaire, Brazil, Curacao and Venezuela: Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) and Emission Control Area (ECA) Surcharge

(Morristown, New Jersey)… Effective April 1, 2016 the following Bunker Surcharge (BAF) adjustments will take effect:

  • United States East and Gulf Coast ports to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao will remain at $712/20’ and $1,424/40’.
  • United States East and Gulf Coast ports to East Coast of South America ports will remain at $375/20’ and $750/40’.
  • United States East and Gulf Coast ports to Venezuela will remain at $397/20’ and $794/40’.


Effective April 1, 2016 the following Emission Control Area (ECA) Surcharge adjustments will take effect:

  • The ECA surcharge will decrease to $23/20’ and $46/40’ from United States East and Gulf Coast ports to Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.
  • The Emission Control Area surcharge will remain at $36/20’ and $72/40’ from United States East and Gulf Coast ports to East Coast of South America ports.


Tariff as well as existing services contracts will be subject to this change. The Bunker Surcharge will continue to be monitored on a monthly basis and adjustments will be made following the review period, with appropriate notice given to the trade.
