(Morristown, NJ)…The Port of Houston remains closed due to Hurricane Harvey which prevented the “Monte Pascoal” from calling Houston today, August 28th, 2017.
It is not possible to predict with any accuracy when the port will re-open so we have decided to divert the “Monte Pascoal” to Altamira/ Mexico to discharge her import cargo. The ship will then sail for Cartagena and the other scheduled ports in South America.
As soon as the Port of Houston re-opens and we have better information on the local conditions we will provide an update when shipping services can resume. This update would also cover when the Houston import ex the “Monte Pascoal” would arrive in Houston.
