Value added services

Import

• Depository transfer (processing/correction of entry summary declaration (ATB no.)).
• Creation of T1 (shipping document) for destinations in Germany or the EU.
• Customs declaration of release of consignments for free circulation with destination in Germany.

Export

• Creation of export declarations to generate an MRN no. for the export of goods.
• Creation of a Z number (BHT no.) for customs clearance of containers for final export at the terminal.
• Creation of preferential treatment documents, certificates of origin and movement certificates.

Plant protection agency

• Registration of goods (wood and/or packaging material) with agencies for import authorization to Germany and the EU.

Gasification

• Gasification of containers for import and export in compliance with the specifications of the country of destination or of the shipper/consignor.

Veterinary inspection office

• Filing and registration of plant and animal products for import/export authorization to/from Germany and the European Community (Common Veterinary Entry Document – CVED).
• The VAS department takes care of presenting the containers to the agencies and arranges documentation until final issuance of the official import authorization for the European Union.

Other agency clearance (BLE – Federal Office for Agriculture and Food)

• Filing and registration of food including sampling.

Import

• Onward carriage of containers to the place of delivery.
• Unpacking containers (incl. reefers) for warehousing, further processing or onward transport of break-bulk consignments to place of delivery.
• Transport of containers due to official measures, for example to inspection station, customs inspection or sampling.
• Interim storage of containers (also reefers) or their contents until final importation or re-export.
• Destruction and disposal of cargoes, for example in the event of contaminated goods or official orders.

Export

• Pre-carriage of ocean freight shipments and heavy-lift cargoes to port of departure.
• Seaworthy packing and lashing of consignments in containers or on flat racks for final marine transportation.
• Warehouse check-in and interim storage of consignments up to point of final dispatch by sea.
• Relashing and relabeling of consignments and containers at the terminal.
• Repackaging of consignments at the terminal, for example in the case of damaged containers.
